Licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist since 1985.
I began my professional work with children while attending California State University, Northridge where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a specialty in Child Mental Health and a minor in Psychology (1984). I went on to receive my Master of Arts in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, formerly known as California Family Study Center (1986). I licensed in 1988 and began my private practice in Morgan Hill (1992) following relocating to the bay area from a group practice in Westlake Village, California.
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in a multitude of settings that include inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities, inpatient and outpatient eating disorders programs, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse programs, group homes, and school programs; I have taught many educational seminars and classes focused on children as well as best practices for child custody. I work with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families with a portion of my practice committed to forensics focusing on Child Custody Evaluations, Brief Focused Assessments, Parallel Parenting, Co-Parenting, Reconnection Therapy and Family Therapy.
